pace attack in South Africa along with other IPL performers How do you see this tour and how important will this be for you It feels good when your performance is rewarded Playing for India A is always a challenging task and I am looking forward to playing against South Africa and Australia A teams Last time I played in South Africa for India A team was in 2013 and we played on flat wickets I have been playing for India A teams in Challenger Trophy also and that experience has helped me My aim is to perform whenever I get an opportunity and bowling to my strength and I will surely take confidence from my IPL experience this year forward and utilise this opportunity I am currently attending the fast bowler training camp in Bengaluru and it has helped my game You were among the top three bowlers for Sunrisers Hyderabad with 10 wickets this IPL How do you see that experience Honestly speaking I stuck to my basics and my plan was to bowl to my strength There were different situations and different pressure in every game and players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ashish Nehra would help me with the plan and seeing them bowl also helped me a lot As a pacer it is important to bowl according to your plan and that’s what I learnt this IPL I bowled for Punjab in the death overs earlier in the domestic season and Yuvi paji and Bhajji paji always encouraged me and Yuvi was also in the Sunrisers team along with David Warner who showed confidence in me in the death overs Last six months have also seen you working with mental conditioning coach Amit Bhattacharjee who has also worked with 2008 Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra How has that helped your game I have been working with Amit sir since I played in the Irani Trophy in January and his inputs have been helpful As a player there are ups and downs and different phases and working with a mental conditioning coach helps you understand the strengths and weakness Our focus has been how to stay calm in pressure situations and he also shares his experience with players like Abhinav Bindra which motivates a player like me You played under Virat Kohli in India’s title triumph in the 2008 U-19 World Cup How do you see your career till now and do you miss being part of the senior Indian team The 2008 U-19 World Cup win was something which gave me recognition The 10 wickets in the tournament meant a lot to me and I still cherish that performance People got to know me due to that performance My aim is to bowl well and perform whenever I get a chance And all these years have helped me become a mature and since under the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) Act sexual harassment must be done with a ‘sexual intent’ a special court said on Friday Additional Sessions Judge Ashwini Kumar Sarpal while hearing a 2015 case said that “vague” and unspecified allegations made against the accused — that he had misbehaved with the victim by giving blow on her back — is “not sufficient” to “invoke” provisions of POCSO Act against him “The act and conduct of the accused does not even point out that there was a sexual intent on his part in giving blow of his hand on the back of the victim The record points out that it was the incident of simple quarrel which cannot be stretched into sexual harassment by any imagination Even if during quarrel the accused gave hand blow to victim on her back then that act will not amount to showing any feeling or indication of sexual intent (sic)” stated the judge in the order The ASJ said that it was required by the prosecution to show that at the time of alleged quarrel the accused committed offence of sexual harassment and with a specific sexual intent “Simply saying by the victim that ‘chhed chhad’ (teasing) was done is not fulfilling the ingredients of Section 11 of the POCSO Act” the court said The case dates back to July 7 2015 when two sisters including a minor were going to school on a scooter The accused allegedly came in front of them threw garbage on the road and obstructed the girls Court records state that the accused spit on the victim and “misbehaved” with her after giving a “blow on her back with his hand” On the basis of this complaint a case of molestation and under POCSO Act among other sections was registered The girl and her family alleged that “chhed chhad” had taken place However court records stated that in the statement under section 164 of the CrPC “not a word” has been uttered by the girl regarding this alleged misbehaviour or “chhed chhad” The court also noted that the chargesheet states the girl and her family have instituted 14 similar cases against the accused and other neighbours “Accordingly after considering the chargesheet I am of the opinion that no offence under Section 12 of the POCSO Act regarding commission of sexual harassment is made out The other offences which may be made out from the allegations are triable by the magistrate” the court ordered For all the latest Delhi beaten up Kalpana in an inebriated state In a fit of rage he poured kerosene on her and set her on fire Kalpana suffered 85 per cent burns and the following day she succumbed to her injuries By then maximum punishment of 10 years “In our view the case will fall under Section 304 part-I of the IPC because we are of the opinion that the appellant did not just have the knowledge that his act was
