Weir resumes his tour tonight for a second performance at Kings Theatre. Bob Weir kept the Campfire Tour rolling last night, playing a highly-anticipated show at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre along his tour in support of recently-released Blue Mountain. The tour has seen Weir travel the country, treating fans to stripped down versions of Grateful Dead classics and his new cowboy-themed original music. With Steve Kimock, Jon Shaw, Bryan Devendorf, Josh Kaufman and Scott Devendorf supporting him, there was no shortage of great music to be played.Weir opened with a Little Feat classic in “Easy To Slip,” and kept the energy going with “Loose Lucy.” The remainder of the first set highlighted Weir’s Blue Mountain material, and closed out with Johnny Cash’s “Big River.”It was set two that saw the band cook up some Grateful Dead classics, including both “Brown-Eyed Women” and “Cassidy” with famed guitarist Leslie Mendelson. Mendelson joins the likes of John Mayer, Joe Russo and Tom Hamilton as guests on this tour – esteemed company, to say the least. (Read more about her here). She would also return for the finale, a rendition of “Friend Of The Devil.”You can watch a handful of videos below, courtesy of YouTube user Matt Frazier.last_img
